DFG Productions are a group of young, vibrant artist, musicians, producers, actors/actresses and editors of the community, who strive on the love and support of each other, encourages each other to live out their dreams. The Purpose is to showcase local inspiring actors and actress talents in the community. We are hoping to discover the talent that has not yet been discovered. We want to excite the community to get involved with our project. We are also hoping to bring directors, stagers, producers and actors into our community to want to work with individuals of Pompano Beach. Most directors, actors and producers flee to Miami/Dade County and by pass Broward County. Casting Call – Open to the Public.

Haitian Flag Day - Our PRIDE and Our ROOTS" A Celebration of Haitian Culture 6:00pm - 8:00pm | Ali Cultural Arts, 353 Martin Luther King Blvd

Flag Day celebrations are one of the most important parts of Haitian Heritage Month, the tradition dates back to the 1930’s, when government leaders of the island launched the commemoration to encourage the development of patriotic sentiments among Haitian youth. In 2008, the festivities became part of many celebrations across the United States.

The Ali is proud to host keynote speaker Major Bernadel of Toussaint L'Ouverture High School to explain the Haitian flag and its importance. The event will also feature Haitian-American hip-hop artists “Humble and Hungry,” along with musical performances by J.Perry, and the premiere of the film, Kenbe Fem, A Haitian Story of Survival and Strength. Set in the wake of the devastating 2010 earthquake in Haiti, Kenbe Fem follows David Pierre-Louis in his search to find his mother after the tragedy.

Create, Chat and Chew 7:00pm - 9:00pm | Historic Ali Cultural Arts, 353 Martin Luther King Blvd

"Create, Chat and Chew" provides opportunities to socialize, bond, while engaging conversation through art. The featured artist for each session will share and lead an art project during a two hour workshop. Participants create an art piece with the option of working as a group or alone. All projects are taken home as a tangible representative of this spectacular event as well as a conversation piece in their home. The instructor/artist engage participants to about recent social topics, or participant's suggestions on what to chat about. During the workshop, food will be provided throughout the evening. No two create chat and chews are the same just like our instructors/Artist themselves. Their diversity ranges from Haitian to Hispanic, female and male, young and "seasoned". This gives each session its own uniqueness as well as reach all diversities. Tickets $10.00 per person | Call for group rates.
