The Ali believes in making sure our interns have a beneficial and hands on experience. We are looking for interns who are interested in all aspects of non-profit management, art and African American history.
Interns will have an opportunity to learn all aspects of non profit arts management, talent booking, gallery administrations, art handling and instsallation, fundraising, event planning, public relations, marketing and so much more.
Successful candidates have a general knowledge and passion for visual or erforming arts, community and history and can move effortlessly from painting gallery walls, touring guests through our space, dealing with talent and speaking in the community.
Internship hours are flexible during operating hours Monday-Friday 11am-7pm and Saturday 10am-4pm.

Greet & Welcome visitors to Ali Cultural Arts and provide information on artist exhibits, space rentals, educational classes, the Black History museum and more. All information will be provided. Minimum of one three hour shift per month during open business hours or special events.
Get hands on and help our teachers with set up, preparation and education class sessions. This volunteer effort helps provide enriching educational experiences to registered students and groups. No minimum commitment required. Help as needed!
Be part of the action with the best seat in the house! Volunteer to usher concerts, front door staff, back of house staff, concessions, front door and VIP experiences. All event support must arrive 1 hour before event and plan to stay for the entirety of the event. Evening and weekend hours available.
Exhibition Install Crew:
Work hand in hand with our museum curators to install and de-install permanent and temporary art exhibits inside the facility. This hands on experience will assist in taking the previous exhibit down, returning art safely to the artist and loading in the new show. Heavy lifting may be required.
