The City of Pompano Beach Cultural Affairs Department is seeking both male and female dancers and dance companies for an original Black History Production produced by the Department entitled, “Progress.” All genres of dance are welcome including (but not limited to) ballet, hip hop and swing.  An honorarium will be provided to selected dancers. Children’s Art Exhibition “Through Their Eyes”
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: November 8, 2019 before midnight

Young artists (ages 18 and under) are invited to submit artwork that reflects their view of the world through their eyes for an exhibition at the Historic Ali Cultural Arts, in Pompano Beach, this upcoming Festive Season. Artwork selected will be exhibited at the Historic Ali Cultural Arts from December 13, 2019 – February 8, 2020. Artwork should be submitted in digital form; assistance will be provided to those that need to digitize their artwork. The Pompano Beach Cultural Affairs Department will be providing the printing for this exhibition at no cost to the young artists.

Call for Arts Education Professionals

Submission Deadline: Thursday, July 25, 2019 before midnight

The City of Pompano Beach Cultural Affairs Department is seeking Arts Education professionals for the upcoming school calendar year (September 2019 – May 2020). Classes and workshops will be offered at Pompano Beach’s cultural venues in many artistic disciplines including (but not limited to): music, dance, voice, digital media, visual arts, performance arts, and the business of the arts. Eligibility includes: Must be an active not-for-profit Florida corporation in good standing; Mission of the organization must include arts education with public programming; Organization must have a proven track record of providing arts education services for a minimum of five (5) years in Broward County.

Call to Teaching Artists

Are you an artist looking for a space to teach your craft?
Bailey Contemporary Arts (BaCA) is looking for teaching artists to fill Visual Arts Workshop slots! Workshops can be for adults, teens, or children.

Please send

  • Letter of interest
  • Program overview of your ideal workshop
  • List possible supplies that would be needed
  • Resume/CV of teaching experience and any photos or materials that may show examples.

Please submit all materials in one email to PBArtsInfo@copbfl.com with the subject line TEACHING ARTIST. Depending on the activity the class and/or workshop space can accommodate 10-20 participants comfortably depending on the activity.
